We continue our journey to the city of Potosi, the source of thousands of tons of silver which financed all the Spanish wars in the years gone by.
At 4000m it is also one of the highest situated cities of this size in the world. We arrive there around lunch time, after lunch we visit the museum of Casa de Moneda.
In the morning we visit the cooperative mines at the Cerro Rico where the miners keep working in very basic conditions. After lunch we visit the convent of Carmelitas which is still functioning, but also serves as a museum. We finish the day with a scroll through the colonial part of the town.
