On our way from Sucre to Totora we pass through little visited Bolivian countryside, full of mountain ranges and river gullies and valleys, dotted with small Indian settlements. On our way we cross the great rivers of Rio Grande and Mizque and visit the town of Aiquile that had been partially destroyed by earthquake back in 1998.
On arrival to the colonial town of Totora, where the time seamed to stop, we have quick lunch and we drive to the large complex of Inca ruins in the neighbouring valley; Incallajta. After touring this old fortress that guarded the eastern border of the Inca Empire, we return to Totora for the night.
