We will take a short walk along a local path trailing the Huarinilla river through some tropical forest, with butterflies and lots of tropical flora of the area. There is also a good possibility of spotting some of the local birds. This area is skirting the boundaries of Cotapata National Park.
After the hike we will drive towards Coroico for our lunch, the road follows the Huaranilla river until it connects with the main road which goes to Amazonia, we will cross the road and start the climb to Coroico, passing through some lush vegetation and plantations of bananas and citrus trees.
Coroico is one of the most picturesque villages in Bolivia. It has a pleasant climate due to its location and altitude of 1800 m (5905 f). We will stroll through the main square and then drive up to the Hotel Esmeralda, where will have lunch with magnificent views of the valley of the river Huaranilla with snow-capped Cordillera Real mountains as a backdrop.
