Photos and Pictures from La Paz department of Bolivia

Welcome to the picture album of La Paz department of Bolivia. Here you will find photographs of the main attractions in La Paz that are visited by one or more Bolivian Experience tours. Some are not on a scheduled tour, but can be visited if you wish so. We can put together a tour just for you and your friends.

The La Paz department comprises 133,985 km² (51,730 sq. mi) with a 2001 census population of 2,350,466 inhabitants. It is situated at the western border of Bolivia, sharing Lake Titicaca with Peru. It contains the mighty Cordillera Real. Northeast of the Cordillera Real are the Yungas, the steep eastern slopes of the Andes that make the transition to the Amazon basin. Its capital is the city of La Paz, also the administrative capital of Bolivia.

La Paz borders upon Peru and Chile the west, and the departments of Pando to the north, Beni and Cochabamba to the east, and Oruro to the south.
