Destination Chulumani and Apa Apa forest reserve

Chulumani is a small town in Sud Yungas region some 150 km (64 mi) from La Paz. It is a commercial center for this coffee coca and banana growing region. It lies near the Apa Apa forest reserve which has excellent birding opportunities and also is on the way to the pre-columbian complex of Pasto Grande. It has very pleasant climate and it offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. It gives you a good insight into the real rural life of bolivians in subtropical yungas region.
